Tracking immigration into Italy: ten years of the Immigrazione Dossier Statistico

October 2000 saw the publication of the tenth edition of the Immigrazione Dossier Statistico (Caritas di Roma 2000) which for a decade has been an important resource for students, researchers and policy-makers interested in the evolving phenomenon of immigration into Italy. This brief review article evaluates the usefulness of this series of dossiers, describes the range of topics covered, and selects some key data to trace significant statistical and spatial trends.
