Optimization of mistuned bladed discs using gradient-based response surface approximations

The maximum response level is chosen as the objective function and the individual blade mistunings are the design variables. Gradient-based response surface approximations are built for the objective function benefiting from a inexpensive calculation of the gradient of the objective function. Periodic polynomials used for the approximation reduce the number of required numerical experiments. The found approximations are used for solution of the problem by genetic optimization algorithms
