The design of a super-sensitive infrared-emission spectrometer for studies of adsorbate dynamics
journal contribution
posted on 2023-06-08, 17:18 authored by Wendy BrownWendy Brown, R K Sharman, P Gardner, D A King, D H MartinWe have designed a highly versatile, liquid-helium-cooled, polarisation discriminating infrared emission spectrometer in order to study fundamental aspects of adsorbate dynamics. The new instrument incorporates a liquid-helium-cooled FTIR spectrometer, 0.3 K bolometric detector, liquid-helium-cooled sample manipulator, liquid-helium-cooled optics and a very intense pulsed molecular beam source.
