Julian Opie’s art expression in the 3D era
journal contribution
posted on 2023-06-08, 18:50 authored by Joshua GongAfter pop art, the art world is getting harder to refine into one particular movement. Information and digital technology have made all kinds of art accessible to everyone. However it seems that the raise of the Young British Artists and the reformation of Turner Price stood many times right on the spot for the contemporary art audience. Julian Opie inherited the spirit of Pop art and became an important figure in London art space. He used hologram to enhance simplified figurative images, which is an advanced response to the new 3D era that James Francis Cameron revitalised with his film Avatar.
