Green means 'go?'- A colorful approach to a U.S. national renewable portfolio standard
journal contribution
posted on 2023-06-08, 23:17 authored by Benjamin SovacoolBenjamin Sovacool, Christopher CooperOpponents of renewable energy often suggest that mandating a national RPS would be technically impossible, costly, unfair to those states without renewable resources, and difficult to enforce. Contrary to these claims, the authors suggest that a properly designed RPS would actually lower electricity prices, empower states and local actors, and provide a host of important ancillary services to the electric utility industry and society at large.
