Abstract
This paper seeks to determine the nature and scope of dynamic capabilities associated with the provision of modular supply in the automotive sector. Whilst the concept of dynamic capabilities is now widely understood, there has been very little research exploring such capabilities within the context of automotive cockpit provision. We contend that the development of dynamic capabilities within this context is contingent upon the abilities of module suppliers to identify and operationalize capabilities reflecting the unique attributes associated with this highly customised and bespoke module.
