The study examines a number of factors associated with national and personal security, including crime victimisation, confidence in government, and legitimacy, as well as a number of indicators about perceptions of the community and fellow Australians. The study is led by researchers from the Institute of Social Science Research at the University of Queensland, notably Professor Mark Western, Professor Lorraine Mazerolle, Professor Paul Boreham, and Dr Suzanna Ramirez.
